In celebration of The American Piano Quartet’s 30th Anniversary we’re taking the show on the road and joining the musicians on stage at BYU’s De Jong Concert Hall!  It’s an hour of eight talented hands playing two 9-foot grand pianos for 1,400 listening ears.  The members of the American Piano Quartet are: Robin Hancock, Scott Holden, Del Parkinson and Jeffrey Shumway. Their tours have taken them throughout the US, the Far East, and Europe—from Piano Island in Xiamen, China, to the twilight of Forks, Washington. During the conversation breaks Steven Kapp Perry will ask them about highlights from the last 30 years—including playing pianos “that looked like they fell out of the back of a truck” and had “I love Mary” carved into them to learning parts over the phone.
