Today marks the first day of Hanukkah! While this holiday is celebrated by millions of Jews around the world, there are many of us who still know little about it. Also referred to as the Festival of Lights, Hanukkah is celebrated with the lighting of the menorah and traditional foods. But what does it symbolize, what’s the history behind it, and what kind of traditional food is eaten?
