Protecting Kids in the Pandemic

For a year now, our world has been rocked by the COVID-19 pandemic. And when looking back on the year, it’s easy to focus on how we personally have been affected. And as parents, it’s also easy to think about how our own kids are coping. But did you know that there are now an estimated 17 million hungry children in the US? And that at least 1 in 4 children does not have the tools necessary for distance learning? These numbers are both staggering, discouraging, and worth discussing. So today, we’ve invited Shane Garver, the Senior Director of Rural Education Programs from Save the Children, on to break down their 2021 Childhood Report on how children in America are doing during the pandemic, as well as to share how we can help our kids around the country.
