Teens can be complex, and understanding what’s going on in their heads can be especially difficult when they aren’t eager to share. Have you ever tried asking a teen how their day at school was? If you’re lucky you might get a direct answer, but odds are you’ll just get a shrug or some sort of grunt. Researchers have found that half of all mental health conditions start by 14 years of age, but most cases are undetected and untreated which can lead to greater issues further down the line. So, what can we do to help our teens out if they aren’t willing to share? How can you know if your teen needs professional help?
